Areas that can be treated include forehead, unibrow, ears, cheeks, sideburns, legs, feet, lip, chin, chin strap, underarms, hands, back and neck. Our laser aesthetic treatments are designed for collagen remodulation, which will treat the wrinkles around your mouth and “plump” the skin. You may also see some resolution with pigment issues. With the production of your own collagen you should see a more youthful appearance.

Laser aesthetic treatments are suitable for both men and women and are excellent for treating acne scarring and the hyperpigmentation (dark spots) caused by acne scarring. However, we would need to make sure we have the acne under control before proceeding with laser treatments so that we do not cause flair up. Other types of treatments include:

  • Unwanted hair
  • Ingrown hair (PFB)
  • Photo rejuvenation
  • Skin tightening
  • Permanent hair reduction
  • Angiomas
  • Fine lines
  • Blemishes
  • Scar revisions
  • Sun and age spots
  • Spider veins
  • Rosacea
  • Acne clearance

...and various other treatments.

Some patients might feel a slight discomfort with each laser pulse, this discomfort resolves very quickly. For some patients a topical anesthetic may be used prior to treatment. These treatments might result in slight reddening or swelling. Overall, our laser aesthetic procedures are safe, effective, gentle and relatively pain-free. They rarely cause any type of pain after the treatments.

An effective treatment requires a clear target (hair follicle) for the laser. Your treatment area should be shaved recently to provide clear targets. Please shave within two to three days prior to your laser aesthetic treatment to ensure smooth and effective procedure. Prior to your procedure please discuss with us any hormonal issues.

For optimal outcomes please don’t expose your skin to sun for an extensive period of time or tan before the procedure. We recommend to wait until the tan fades, although you can still achieve great results while having a tan. Patients scheduled for hair removal should avoid plucking, electrolysis or hair waxing for six weeks prior to their laser aesthetic treatments. Your skin should be clean and thoroughly cleansed and dried prior to the procedure. Note: Sun burnt skin cannot be treated.

You will wear safety eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser light. Your practitioner will guide the laser to the treatment areas with the laser hand piece. A treatment could take as little as a few minutes or as long as an hour, depending on the area to be treated.

The number of sessions depends on the treatment you require and the condition of your skin. For hair removal, multiple treatments are required, as the process is most effective when the hair follicle is in its active growth phase. Other conditions may clear up in only one treatment, but factors impact the efficacy of the individual laser treatments, including the severity of the condition being treated. It can take anywhere from 3 to 6 sessions per area, depending on your hair type.

Yes, you should be aware of following Important Facts:

  • Numbing creams are rarely used. The treatment is easier than waxing or tweezing.
  • Thick or stiff hair is not an issue.
  • All skin types can be treated, from fair to dark.
  • The technician will perform test spots before doing entire area.
  • All skin types can be treated.

There is little to no downtime after the aesthetic laser procedure. You will be able to immediately return to work or normal activity after your treatment. However, if you get sun burnt very easily you might experience sun burnt-like redness and possibly some swelling might occur within 1-7 days. Please keep in mind that older, more fragile, thin skin is more sensitive to a laser treatment. Please be sure to let the practitioner know about your sensitivity and recommendations to minimize downtime.

MicroPulse-1064™Technology pulse duration is shorter, so energy is delivered much faster into the targeted tissue structures (follicles, vessels, etc.). Targeted tissue has less time to lose heat through conduction to the surrounding skin, Therefore the targeted tissue reaches a higher temperature. A higher temperature in the targeted tissue translates into greater tissue destruction (follicles, vessels, etc.)
